Silverton designed this cruiser to have all of the comforts of home. She is more than comfortable, and would make a luxury liveabord that you can take over the waterways to wherever you wish to roam.
Her spacious fly-bridge is accessed by a set of starboard steps. Her helm station gives new meaning to useable. She has a huge bench seat just aft of the 2 person helm station with storage under it and a sun lounge for the sun worshipers. With this cruiser the skipper is not left out of the party when running the vessel, as they all can join you on the bridge. Cruising or relaxing, the bridge refreshment center with an icemaker, a sink, a CD stereo, and a hefty handrail are really convenient. Little things mean a lot on a long voyage. An armrest with a cup holder, easy to reach throttles and controls, and plenty of room for electronics that are close enough to see make the trip comfortable and safer. Port of the helm seat is a large U shaped with more storage that is suitable for 4 that with the aft seating turn this bridge into a conversation nook. Part of her well thought out design features stairs on both sides of the bridge that go to the deck that makes getting your first mate forward for docking or mooring a real breeze. She has both a 25 foot and a 50 foot set of shore power cables, PFDs, flares, and extra lines and fenders. She also sports a custom canvas for her entire fly bridge. A large tall SS bow rails keep moving about the deck in any weather safe. This great cruiser has a cavernous anchor well under a hatch cover that also protects the windlass.
The forward master stateroom has a real queen-sized berth placed sideways with storage underneath, lockers on either side, or a mirrored forepeak. Talk about easy, the bed arrangement allows you to reach three sides to make up the berth. A little common sense plus. More common sense design went into the main salon with a spacious galley that features a two-level, granite-type counter, convection microwave, Norcold 441 double door fridge, two burner range and plenty of storage. Enjoy her Black & Decker coffee maker every morning. Aft to port in the salon, is a convertible dinette with more storage under the seats. Across the companionway is the head, which is very spacious with an enclosed shower stall, electric marine head, sink in a vanity, a mirror and guess what, more storage. She has two 10,000 Btu A/C & heating units with dual controls. You really get an open and roomy feeling throughout the salon.
She has a large sliding glass door opening to her cockpit area that features a large transom door leading on to her huge extended swim platform. What a great place to watch the sun set from.
This Silverton is impressive when she leaves the dock. Her Mercruiser 5.7 MPI engines with only 400 hours on them will speed her along at more than 33 MPH while sipping very little fuel. She pops up on plane without even using her Bennett trim tabs. She handles choppy seas well; turning is very surefooted and maneuverable, even a bit sporty in action. Her 5kw generator will keep everything running when you anchor in your own secluded cove.
